This week's themed link party at Donna's Funky Junk Interiors features crates and boxes. I love crates and boxes so I want to play! Here are some of my favorites I have at my house.
Here's some of my stash.
Old wooden crates and boxes of all styles and sizes.
old wooden boxes sitting pretty
wooden with metal trim
rectangular metal boxes
square metal boxes
tiny decorative metal boxes
metal bread boxes
love the latch on the bread box
little bitty wooden boxes
little bitty round wooden boxes
These hold little tool bits my Dad used as a jeweler.
Old wooden boxes pulled from a deteriorating shed...
given a fresh coat of paint...
...and a new life.
and of course these old soda crates that I have had since the 70's.
Soon, at least one of these will look like this:
I love this clever idea straight from Donna herself. Thanks for the inspiration!
Gina,
ReplyDeleteI love them all!
Hi Gina,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all your boxes!! My favorites are the galvanized metal one and the white metal bread box, but I love them all!
My post is all about boxes I've collected, too.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
~ Jo
p.s. I really like your idea about having set days that you post-- I may adopt that. Isn't it sad I have to police myself in such a way? So much to read, so little time!
ReplyDeleteDang, Gina!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking this morning as I stopped by a huge yard sale "if Gina were going junking, she'd find the most awesomestest stuff." And I came home with nothing except bows for the baby! Those are awesome.
Wow - that's a lot of boxes. I'm impressed. I think my favourite are the ones you used around your bench in the front hall, but then again I love that you have your father's tool boxes, and I love the ones you used in your dining room.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great collection, wow! I love the tool caddy with the numbers on it, and the paint organizer coke crate. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice collection!!!!
ReplyDeleteExcuse my whine! I just bought a pepsi crate today for $5.00 and I dropped my camera outside on my porch trying to take a picture of it and now my camera is broke!:( Sorry for my crying!
What a great collection of boxes and crates! Love the boxes that hold the jewelry tools.

I love all of your crates and boxes. And that little salt and pepper shaker are fantastic. I would take those home with me.
ReplyDeleteYou did some great things with your boxes. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my place.
Blessings to you.
OHHH you have some GREAT boxes! I LOVE your Dad's jewelers boxes...so SWEET! BTW, you have to be the BEST friend to help your other friend out who had the surgery with her PT. Retail therapy and Physical therapy go SO WELL together! HECK, If I'm going to go pay $20.00 a time for my co-pay, I'd rather get something fun out of it for the house! LOL
ReplyDeleteone word: LOVE!
ReplyDeleteOhhh that galvanized one really hit me in the heart. :) Fabulous collection with some really unique shapes! And the paint storage idea... how brilliant is that?!? :)
ReplyDeleteDonna
Love that you were able to give these great pieces new life! I'd like you to share this on Modern Craftswoman Monday! Hope you can join the fun! Rory
ReplyDeleteOk, since I've concluded that salvage yards are fictional...where do you find all this cool stuff???
