Last weekend, my pal, Jennie, and I decided to take a little quick weekend trip. We drove down to Austin and then went to the Trade Days in Fredricksburg, Tx which are held monthly. We saw so much stuff and had so much fun that we forgot to take a bunch of pictures. We then took the scenic route home up highway 281 to the Homestead Antique Fair in Hico, Tx held in the Spring and Fall. Oh my goodness! We were speechless. We could have bought every single thing there. Jennie managed to keep it together long enough to snap a couple of pictures on her iPhone but honestly, we were like kids in a candy store and completely forgot about pulling the good camera out to take great pictures. Sorry :(
Since I couldn't afford to buy every single thing there, I narrowed my focus and came away with these little red pieces that are totally me.
This is a cute little metal red stool.
Just a touch of rust for character
It's tiny; smaller than a breadbox.
Picked up this old metal red 3 probably used in a sign to denote prices. It's relatively big.
It's over a foot tall.
just the right amount of rust on this side...
...maybe a little too much rust on the other side.
Then there was this...an old red ladder.
Look at the cute handle!
When I saw this, I knew I had to have it.
I figured it would be a bit expensive since it's old, red and has that cute handle.
So, how much was I willing to pay to get this? I know some of you wouldn't pay a dime for it while others might pay a pretty penny for it. I paid.....wait for it...$25 buckaroos. That's a great deal to me.
We had a great time and we'll definitely go back to both places.
I'm sharing with my favorite parties in the list above or down below on the right.
