Vintage Yardsticks

What could one do with a bunch of vintage yardsticks?
How about...make a chair-rail.

A friend of my pal, Jennie, used vintage yardsticks to make a chair-rail in this room.
What until you see the rest of the room.  It's not what you think.  I'll share more about it next week.
For now, what do you think of the yardstick chair-rail?
Cool, huh?

Here's even a little yardstick charm added just above the baseboard.

I love this.  Now, I just need a bunch of vintage yardsticks.

  1. What a cool idea. I would have never thought of this! I cannot wait to see the whole room! I often see those old yardsticks that unfold at antiques stores and want to buy them, but I never know what I'd do with them.

  11. That's a cute idea. Can't wait to see more of Jennie's room. It's so funny that so many of us collect those things, isn't it? Altho I wouldn't have nearly enough to go around a room. She must have found the motherlode of vintage yardsticks! Hurry up and show the rest of the room, the suspense is killing me....
